The Grand Tour
-
Welcome .... Come and let me show you around Hibiscus. We have twelve guestrooms each distinctively different, comfortable, designed to fit each guests needs.
-
Entering through the gate, Hibiscus House is home to our four original guestrooms and to our café, where we serve breakfast to our guests and the general public daily.
-
This is the courtyard and around the corner you will find the Backyard of Love, both have several shady spots to sit and relax while taking in the garden or having breakfast.
-
While you are here, please feel free to enjoy the greenery. We have a variety of flowers and herbs, including roses, hibiscus, sage, mint, palmetto and dill. You will most likely see one of our feline friends ... Hef, Scarty Cat & Amos enjoying the gardens as well.
-
The Art Deco Room with it's own private porch overlooking the courtyard, is the only downstairs guestroom in the Hibiscus House. Hibiscus House has two common area porches- one in the front and another upstairs.
-
The Art Deco Room is located downstairs in the Hibiscus House with it's own private screened porch. It has a king-sized bed, and it is both kid and pet friendly.
-
And here, just off the upstairs deck overlooking the courtyard, is the Turner Room, so named for the artist's prints adorning the walls. This room has a queen-size bed and has a claw-footed tub/shower in the bathroom.
-
This is our library, a common area for our Hibiscus House guests. This area is open to the public daily while we are here and to our guests anytime during their stay. While we sell used books, feel free to borrow anything on the shelves while you're here. In this room you'll find a phone, and if you are musically inclined, we have a piano.
-
The Magnolia Room, our cozy little room with a queen bed, is located down the hall from the library. It has a shower in the bathroom, instead of a tub.
-
The Hibiscus Room, our large king-room, is located directly above the cafe where the hustle bustle starts early in the mornings. The bathroom has an old claw-footed tub/shower. The Hibiscus Room is large enough to accommodate a pack and play for your child.
-
Across the courtyard you'll find 30A Studio with photographers Shelly Swanger, Jackie Ward & Sheila Goode and custom jewelry maker Allison Craft.
-
This is Bert's barn. We've tried to make the Barn a comfortable place to sit and relax. There are no common walls in the five Bert's Barn rooms, allowing for greater privacy.
-
Perhaps you'd like to take advantage of one of our three comfortable porches. There's a large porch out front and two smaller one's out back.
-
The Old Florida room is a first floor mini-suite with kitchenette (microwave, fridge, coffeepot, sink). This spacious room has a queen-sized bed and will accommodate a blow up mattress or pack and play for your child. Just outside your door, you will find a large front porch to sit and BE Relaxed!
-
The Funky Bird Room is our other first floor mini-suite, also with kitchenette, and it's separated from the Old Florida room by the Dog Trot. Again, this queen-sized room allows access to the Barn's big front porch. As with the Old Florida room, there's room for a blow up mattress or pack and play for your child.
-
The Big Easy Room is a fully handicapped accessible little cabin that's semi-detached from the main house (it was a detached kitchen in it's early life). It's equipped with mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. (This room is held for the physically challenged until all other rooms are rented.)
-
Upstairs is the Common Area, shared by guests in our Tropical Bird and Romance Rooms. Here you'll find a complete kitchen and table for any meals you are inspired to cook. You'll also find conversation areas and a telephone.
-
The Tropical Bird room is a large second floor king-sized room decorated with our favorite bird prints. It shares a full kitchen and large living/dining area with the Romance room.
-
The Romance room is a large second floor king-sized room decorated for lovers. It features a Jacuzzi-type tub that fits two, plus a separate shower. It shares a full kitchen and large living/dining area with the Tropical Bird room.
-
Hibiscus Flats is our newest addition to the grounds. In addition to our office, it is home to our one bedroom Flats.
-
The Hibiscus Flat Three, upstairs, is a fully equipped, one bedroom Flat. It has a king-bed, full kitchen, living room area, stereo, DVD player, a washer & dryer... sit on the porch and watch the world go by!
-
The Hibiscus Flat Four, also upstairs, is a fully equipped, one bedroom Flat with a king-bed, full kitchen, living room area, stereo, DVD player and a washer & dryer.
-
You'll want to drop by our office to check in. In addition to being our "front desk", you will find Beach to Bay Realty, owned by our innkeeper Cheri, her husband, Bob and son Donald. They're the people to see if you are looking for property in the area!
-
When you are done with breakfast, we highly recommend you explore! Sandwiched between two state parks, with Grayton Dune State Park to the west and Grayton Beach Recreation Area to the east, Grayton Beach has some of the most beautiful duned beaches anywhere.
-
We are open from 7:30-11:30 a.m. daily. Serving brunch on Sunday's from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m with live music in the Backyard of Love. Our menu includes Waffle Wonderful, Frittatas, and Fresh-Fruit Smoothies. Drop by and join us ... We'd love to see you!
