Antique Stores in Santa Rosa Beach

If you’re staying at Hibiscus Coffee & Guesthouse then you may have noticed we have amassed a great collection of antiques in our rooms. We have everything from antique lamps shaped like panthers, to beautiful vintage textiles. So when one of our guests comes in and asks about antique stores in our area I cant help but get a little excited. Here’s a compilation of our favorite antique/thrift stores in and around Santa Rosa Beach and why we like them so much.

Haven House has an affordable and unique selection of merchandise. Not only that, but every sale helps men in addiction recovery and the Haven House Rehabilitation Center. This is a place where the staff are extremely kind, and willing to work with you.a

They used to have a wider selection of antiques. Now it is mostly used clothing. However tucked in the back left corner there are electronics and some interesting home decor. It’s worth stopping by and checking out if you have an extra 10 minutes. You never know what you’ll find there.

I personally have bought curtains, bookshelf speakers, antique playing cards, and clothing from this Goodwill.

If you’re looking for a bargain on antiques and curiosities this is a great place to explore. Caring & Sharing has a wide variety of electronics, furniture, clothing, jewelry, and my favorite, collectables. I have personally bought an office chair, a Nintendo 64, and antique playing cards from Caring & Sharing.

I also know families and individuals that Caring & Sharing have helped, in emergency financial and family situations. The staff here are good people who care about the community. So if I can buy something from Caring & Sharing instead of a cooperation, I will.

ReStore (Habitat for Humanity)

A fairly new addition to our community. This store focuses on second-hand furniture and appliances. But their items are quality. I bought a cool red velvet couch from this ReStore. I have also seen them have an old pool table. As well as interesting art pieces. This is a good place to look for discounted furniture and appliances.

Historic DeFuniak Springs

DeFuniak Springs is a historic town just 35 – 40 minutes north of Santa Rosa Beach. Named Lake DeFuniak after Frederick DeFuniak, president of the Pensacola and Atlantic Railroad. The name was later changed to DeFuniak Springs. Still standing today is the oldest library in Florida, and original homes build in the 1800’s. A town with lots of history and plenty of antique stores.

The Funky Pumpkin is a vintage collectibles antique store. With 5000 Sq ft of space packed to the brim with antiques. And since their store works on consignment, with stalls rented out to different vendors (So long as they have a certain percentage of antiques in their inventory). It means there is a wide variety of taste and style in these booths. This one comes highly recommended.

Nook and Cranny Consignment is packed full of antiques and collectibles. They’re also well known for their vintage postcards. With multiple vendors displaying products in the store you’re sure to find something interesting. They have everything from antique furniture, art, dishes and cutlery, statues, and curiosities.

  • An wonderful cozy little coffee shop. I drink a lot of coffee and their drip coffee was great! The interior is cute and well decorated, lots of cozy “grandma’s house” vibes. The people serving were polite and courteous and their garden was lovely. We will definitely come back on our next trip. ❤️

The Hibiscus Guesthouse (B&B) is everything you need and nothing you don’t! The accommodations are simple (have an old Florida feel), room clean, gardens beautiful, and an ideal spot. …

We had a big room with a nice king bed and a huge bathroom with a claw foot club. All antiques furnish the room with painted wood floors. Like staying with your grandmother but more comfortable. I left my Kindle there and the staff couldn’t have been more generous about hunting for it and ultimately finding it with a promise to ship it to me the next day. If you are tired of being “just another guest” at a big hotel this place is for you. The vegan cafe is supposed to be great and I have no doubt that it is. It was crowded when we stopped by to grab a bite and unfortunately we couldn’t wait for the crowd to thin… we had to get on the road. Would definitely go back.

Vegan waffles loaded with fresh fruit, peanut butter and honey was so good. We are dairy free so this was a great treat to find in this area! Not enough dairy free breakfast options around here. Super cute garden and nice atmosphere!

  • I booked the Hibiscus for my wedding weekend in Grayton Beach. They were able to accommodate my guests traveling in from 6 different states. Warren and his team made my guests feel welcome and the breakfast is awesome! This is truly a hidden gem. If you’re just in town for the day or passing through, stop at the cafe for a bite to eat.

First time staying at Hibiscus. The room was nicely kempt, AC very good, bed comfy, not noisy, best part was the breakfast from the on site restaurant, Raw and Juicy. Super nice staff and the food was delicious.

Very laidback beachy vibe. Interesting layout of the property and very secluded tucked away in an area of grayton beach with nearby amenities, shops and restaurants walking distance. Tram service to the beach is free and they pick you up right across the street from the Hibiscus. Runs till 10 PM at night. Runs every 10 minutes so there’s never a long wait. Free breakfast in the morning in the café and it’s always delicious. The staff is so nice and friendly. We discovered the hibiscus a few years ago and returned this year for another great stay.

This place is the best! Cool vibe, great price, perfect location. I stayed in the Funky Bird room and it was perfect for needs. Breakfast, which I enjoyed every morning in the tranquil back yard, was absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be back ✌️

In a sea of cookie cutter, this could be anyplace, hotel options, this stood out as having a real sense of place (and an earlier time) and I enjoyed it very much. I stayed in Flat #3 which is actually a cozy 1BR Apartment. Sometimes older places feel a bit threadbare and worn but this one didn’t. I liked the rambling quality, the outdoor spaces (great to hang out in) and the way it is not overwhelmed by the almighty automobile. There is parking but in a subdued, rambling way. The location is wonderful in a small community that also retains its sense of place and with access to some nice places to eat. The cafe, although the included breakfast has a fairly limited menu and is not the typical choose whatever you want continental breakfast, served up one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had: egg, cheese and spinach on excellent sourdough toast. My only complaint was that there is no decaf coffee. I would definitely go again if in the areas. Staff were warm and helpful. I appreciated that when they had a maintenance problem in my scheduled room, instead of surprising me on arrival, they called in advance and told me my options which were free upgrades.

Hibiscus Guesthouse is a wonderful alternative to the beach rental options. Situated maybe 1/4 mile from Grayton Beach and many shops/restaurants are in the neighborhood.  …

We loved our second stay at the Hibiscus! This was our first time bringing children. The upstairs room in Bert’s Barn was a great fit for us. Breakfast was perfect each morning and you can’t beat the beauty and charm of the property. We’ll be back!

This is a hidden gem. We stay in the one bedroom apartment as a small family of three. A short walk to the beach, the general store for basic things you may have forgotten to pack, and all the yummy restaurants in the grayton area. The breakfast is amazing no matter what you order. Cannot beat the price! This is our favorite and we come back one to two times a year for quick weekend getaways. Staff is friendly and the grounds are so peaceful.
